i took a few pics of the box a tricks that came with the conversion.

it's an m20 box with modified parts to make it work with the m50 alien 8)

in no order,

Golf brake servo & master cylinder

Image

new intake pipe needed, now this is all a bit alien to me and what i've read up on?
Image
Image
it has a sensor off the loom to do with afm that goes through the head light backing plate? no pics of that part as it's on the loom.,
Image

shift linkage,sits in the middle.
Image

tunnel carrier,
Image

will this bit be any good with the e36 rack i'm going to do?
Image

the zaust manifolds are going to need a haircut, ground i have no reference to :?

Linkages look about reet mate.

Get the lump in, fit the manifolds and the fit the linkage. Well try too. Then you will have a better idea what needs doing.

Mick, you need an M50 525i inlet boot (it's what I'm using)

That gear linkage looks interesting, but it it works..... An alternative would be to use an M42 box, 325 prop and 320 gear selector setup for a plug & play solution that is original.

Put a pic of that sensor on the loom you are on about, I can't think what that will be.

I would be tempted to use your box prop and diff actually Mick. That's Lee's set up.
I have the front half of a 325 prop here if it's needed and all you would need is a 320 leaver bracket ftw
