If you want to be really gay should i change it to its original no plates? its had a private plate and then the one its on now which is a Notts area plate but not the one it left the show room with!
i like my plates, they've got the alpina and bmw logo sytners style from my fav local dealer. Its a barons car now anyhow, they're supplied all the parts for it

its the old plate that was on the car when i bought it dimebag, so in short i don't know where you'd get another one!
Whilst at Ace discussing the merits of dutch ruddering the post man turned up!

Much to my missus joy at seeing these in the lounge this moring

Ready to accept!

These are what bolts the spoiler down, much to my surpise and annoyance the new bootspoiler didn't come with new ones. Bullsh!t really when you consider the cost of one

The finished look back to how it was over 4 years ago

Then the front fell on to complete the look
[

Just pulled onto the drive after a spin lol

Badges or not?! no stealth for this one in the long run full Alpina wargear will be going on!

i knew Peter would comment on the skoda! I nearly* moved it but i couldn't be arsed
its a GLXi and for another amusing thread, skoda is for czech wrecks. 4 up to Prague in August in it.
garage door is fooked, the cables snapped. so that bit of skirting board and my 6ft plastering rule hold the door up when its open
New garage doors are expensive and i'm being tight!

its been a while! fragged 2 325 e30's since this last update, MOT'd the C2 touring, had a ring trip. Drove a skoda across europe so theres been little time or space to crack on.
Anyhow, bits are always finding their way in on to the "to be fitted" shelf in the garage!

I've gone this route with the rear calipers for a few reasons, GSF wanted over £70 PER caliper. f**k that. My calipers were very good off the car but dirty and i had a 2 new seal kits for them. So i had them blasted and re plated to how they are now. So i've rebuilt them myself. They are 33mm saloon ones, the brakes are big enough on the front to not worry about the rear!

After a little fitting and mucking about

Continuing with the braking theme, the last piece in the jigsaw. The MC on the left is off an E30 M3 which 23mm front iirc instead of the 325i's 22m. Anyhow its what is fitted on the touring and its just the ticket for some serious braking.

in true style BMW make it a little difficult. This isn't a bolt in affair unless you get 1 of the pipes with the MC which runs from the ABS unit to the MC. As on one end its a bigger thread. As you can see. I sweated when this was ordered because all the new brake pipes come in black now! which is a total sh!t if your OE e30 pipes are all green in the engine bay

like this horrid black wrongness which isn't going on the car!

After much bending with sockets and hands and fitting and tinkering the pipe is bent the MC is on and were all bolted up. Sounds so simple!

I've cleaned the MC resvoir as its silly money for a new one. PAS pipes bolted on, they're not new but in VGC from a SA car i broke recently...

Onto the 2 tone mans 325i horn! nice and clean. motorsport. and the OBC thing and cover

All on and allowed all the splash guards and brake ducts etc to go on

Oil cooler, in good nic. the old one was fubared. A new one is nearly £400 and i sh!t the bed at that again. So this is more than up to the task!

All bolted in

I bought 2 sets of these bush void jobbies. Can't be a bad thing in my eyes. These fell in, really easy.

job jobbied.
Not much again but all in the right direction. Money is being saved for the engine recomission asap. It felt today in the sun that there is light at the end of the tunnel, when i don't know!

my spoiler was around £220 plus VAT. decals i don't know i've got a set for £90 off the guy who made the ones in Simon Alcorns famous dolphin car. They are an EXACT copy of the original set simon supplied him with to copy
So whos got a cheap 6 pot E30 then? i've come to the thought this would be a good way to "run in" the engine. Alot of work i know but then i can build it fit it in a turd put 1500 miles on it and use the engine as a daily, then take it back out and fit it into its proper home. A 320i manual of some kind will do nicely with some MOT.
Mad or kind of sensible?
Is £368 less some discount mad for a tropical A/C spec rad from BMW? a normal non A/C is £300. no one else sells them?
Also do euros sell a recon 90amp alternator anyone? GSF only do the 80amp one. BMW want £450!!!!!

I think that's a good idea.
Easily clock up 1500 miles in a daily that your not fussed about and then fit in it's rightful home and enjoy as and when.

Thats not a bad idea putting the donk in a turd to run in.

its in the touring remember. plus its leaking i'm sure of it, everytime i switch off and come back 30mins theres a tiny patch off coolant. but i can't see where its coming from. Pressure test it suppose.B7 wrote:What happened to the tropical rad out the SA car???
You could have fun in a 320 4 door on steels with a 2.7 All over the place! I remember having a final burn in the 2 door with bottletops on the rear. Snaked up the road a treat
You can never have enough cooling Theo! also which is strange as the normal A/C rad from BMW is the same price as a tropical A/C so i saw on the dealer etk today. So why not?
