bought the bonnet liner before i knew they did the m3 one, over a year ago now!

did a lot of panic buying thinking that things would be unavailable

only thing ive not been able to get has been a new rear blind parcel shelf so the old one got a refurb.still not happy with it but it might get recovered.

might add all the receipts together and see what this rust bucket stands me at lol. might have a guess what the nutters spent competition

My guess is fit it for the left side, you're as likely to get a puncture running over crap in the kerb when you park, and you can also knacker the tyre against the pavement parking too.
More crap in the ditch when you're going up the lanes too...

and the doors are painted too, ready to hang tomorow morning.

couldnt get many good photos as it was cramped and a little dark in the unit but theres a couple to see you through till i can get some good ones.





thats the replacement bootlid getting stripped.the original was rusty in the seams so i got a replacement from simon13 also in lachs but this had quite a lot of small dents and a large hollow in it which would have made it difficult to get a ripple free finish so i chose to use this one from my breaker.id rather not use red panels as if the paint gets chipped it really stands out, hence the stripping back.







thats the best photo`s i have at the moment.i would like to get some outside so you can see better but its rained non stop for two days up here.

really pleased with the finish, one or two bits in the paint which will need de nibbing but other than that its spot on.

put a few bits back on tonight but its going to take a while as you have to clean everything first, cant put dirty parts back on now can we

amazing work mate, you should get a magazine involved. they always need good content and they don't need to follow you - you just present them with the finished car and all the photos of the rebuild..

would be great to get your hardwork in print for the nation to see and you to keep... and good publicity for when you get your own place.

I have the same job to do as this on my 1990 325i sport but I unsure about the re-pro arches. I ordered some panels through auto paints in Cardiff and they were nothing like the right shape made by Sel Imperial and they sell the same panels 83-91 which can't be right as the rear arch profile was changed in 88 during the facelift. After some arguing they refunded my money but they said that three other companies they checked with all list the same panels pre and post facelift and that included hadrian panels?

sorry for the late reply abel. i used panels from hadrian and they were the right late model ones so they should still be available although i think they are made in batches so when supply gets thin they can be hard to come by.

spent the last couple of weeks putting bits back on but for some reason i didnt take so many photos



























need to order the service parts plus new headlight adjusters and a spare key tomorow. fingers crossed the wheels should be ready at the refurbers too. all being well it should be mot-able at the end of the week and then i just have to wait until the vic check to get the log book so i can tax it. a little bit frustrating as the car will be tested and insured but in the eyes of the law i cant drive my pride and joy until theyre satisfied its not a ringer.
