Fitting an E30 slave on an E36 box is a waste of time, it will just explode in the bell housing

What slave are you using? Ive had problems with the eurocar parts Pagid branded slaves lately that resulted in a slipping clutch, had to space it back with washers.
I avoid anything ECP are selling with a pagid sticker on it now, its just shit. The handbrake cables stretch like elastic bands, everything is just unbranded chinese rubbish in a fancy box

I've come to a similar conclusion with regards to Pagid, and I've only ever used their discs and pads. Discs always warp, and seemed to wear out quicker than the pads! When I picked up some pads from Matt recently and took the Brembo option instead, after initially being called a brand snob he did admit they're starting to get more and more Pagid returns.

I bought one of ECP's header tank radiator caps recently, and it failed within a week or so.DanThe wrote: I avoid anything ECP are selling with a pagid sticker on it now, its just shit. The handbrake cables stretch like elastic bands, everything is just unbranded chinese rubbish in a fancy box

well the wheel bearings from gsf turned up and they were vtech branded shit so i sent them back and bought a pair from ecp which were clearly branded febi for about £138 delivered .

now that i had good wheel bearings to use i thought i'd fit the wilwoods at the same time and remove the good brake covers/ shields completely instead of cutting them .
i got my grinder out to put a nick in the bearing race that was stuck on the shaft and the disc exploded and stuck in my knuckles cutting a tendon on my index finger , fookin gutted i'm out of action and had to have an operation on my hand
anyway i called Craig over to help finish the job off yesterday and i've now taxed it

i'm sooo glad i decided to fit the diff before i done the bearings

i've had the m54 inlet cam vanos gear modified ready to fit

and on that note have a good friday night , cheers !

Blimey !! Speedy Recovery Mate
i have no spark so bought a crank sensor as that seems the most obvious thing to try first . car has cut out three times on three different occasions from a cold start until it gets warm was fine but after 2-3 miles it cuts out and wont start .... on the 3rd time it wont start at all so should be easier to fix now ha !
can't do the job one handed though

The unguarded 4 inch grinder I have, fitted with a 9 inch disc is a disaster waiting to happen
You pay attention to what you're doing when using that bastard

so after the crank sensor drama and my hand out of action i decided the best physiotherapy for me right now and my recovering swollen hand was obviously to change gear with it
then that led back to the clutch slipping again but fine if driven like a nun but where is the fun in that sooooo ......
with my hand now working 80% i called Craig [ coz i needed a hand
] and >>>>>>>>>>>>

Beasty clutch fitted and working 100% nothing slips
finally i'm gonna get to run the strip with the slicks from one end to the other full bore

crime prevention ^

m54 inlet fitted Cheers Craig
also fitted a very short short shifter , not sure on this yet but it's fitted unless it pisses me off .

sat browsing the web these ^^ 16" reps came up for sale 20 mile away from my house with new tyres 4x100 8J et25 i've just taken delivery of some spigot rings and a pair of 5mm spacers to clear the front brakes so i'll fit them over the weekend just for the crack and see what i think .
