tis back in my garage now! been out the way for 8months! hopefully got some private jobs coming in to raise some funds for new front and rear screens with all the trim, not much change from £400 for that lot 8O

Mind you if i had the space and my daily E30 wasn't broken down sat in the road with a clutch pedal thats died 2 weeks ago :?

I've got the cylinder head work done 8) but there is plenty i can get on with tbh with out spending any money, rear axle is complete and ready, i've got a minty LSD ready, half shafts to bolt on along with front subframes struts anti roll bar. A/C to buy and fit. Loads really just ALOT still to do! Sunroof mech and panel can all go back in. Cruise control to tidy up and fit. Gearbox is here, seats also! need a carpet and dash.

OH who am i kidding still a fair way to go until a tax disc will be in the screen

topless, yes patience! you'll want some double sided tape type stuff, work from the sun roof back. And don't forget to clip the metal bars up on the sun roof tray in the middle or it will sag. I did this first time :o: Looked ok for a while but i had to redo it.

Once its in and your happy with it refit all the screen rubbers and door rubbers and rear quarter light ones if you have the openers. This will hold it all in the place and give the glue in the tape a chance to really hold it in place. If you don't it will unstick as the headlining needs quite a bit of tension in it to get all the creases out

Paid £100 to have mine fitted by pros and they also re-fitted the sunroof panel, all trim/lights, sunroof motor and glass etc all parts new and supplied by me. Looks easy enough but I haven't a clue how to deal with the sunroof panel part and didn't want to try either!

:burn: back to the top!

So after a 9 month lay off, mincing around and wasting money on certain tourings which shall remain unamed we are back to the main focus!

Selling the Red one has made funds available in the kitty for the 2dr, the only real downside being my trusty J reg white E36 4dr 316i hub cap meister rocketship is back on the driveway for another daily stint with MPG's an M20 can only dream off

Any how only minor but in the right direction. The OE homos will be please with this choice

Image

Orange indicators and side repeaters! lol As some might know all of this is NLA, in true hording 13 style i have vast stock of these so these where the best i could find. Out came the tooth brush, polish and back to black!

Image
Image

Orange kinda goes with black so its ok me thinks

Image

After playing around trying to repaint the C-pillar trims i bit the bullet and bought 2 new ones this week, £30 each :clin: fitting these back on means the long shadowline gutter trim can go back on. This wasn't as traumatic as i thought it might be. Alas only drivers side could be done as the new passenger side trim is scratched! So i'll be taking that back, after waiting 3 days for it to come from Germany.

Then i took a step backwards and nearly removed the black head line as i though i had done it wrong. Turns out in my mind i hadn't made the mistake i originally thought :hammer: Which was not clipping the metal bar to the sunroof tray. Which i did tonight and it looked a mess. So i'm going to put it all back to how it was 2moro night after work! deja vu

So now we have some shekels with a bit of time i'm going to try me best to get stuck into it and make some progress. I've been busy kind of "finding" certain parts so time hasn't been totally wasted!

It still amazes me just how much time it takes p!ssing about with all the small bits. As you always end up cleaing something you thought was clean enough/ok months years ago to back on!
