evening all, firstly its been a while wasnt expecting this thought i came across the wrong site!
nice to see an update,
just wanted to see what others would do, long story short ol man used to work for a large main dealership, he left approx 3 years ago, thankfully hes brought all of his tools home, but left his box there which apparently he was told he could leave for however long, we were planning on picking it up on repeated occasions but it just never followed through,
unfortunately things took a turn and he has passed, so im trying to tie up loose ends, i went in on saturday and no one had any recollection which in hindsight is probably true given the time passed, i called the foreman today who was fairly blunt and a bit of an arrogant prick tbh, he basically said they binned the top box because if it was of no use for anyone, however before i could ask about the roll cab he just said ok bye.
obviously my dad was under the impression it would be ok there, there wasnt really any contact made or any letters sent over by the dealer to say the box would be binned, i mean surely if there was some sort of agreement verbally they shoudnt just bin a toolbox or steal it.
i think they may have had the roll cab, cause it wasnt mentioned by him and the drawers were all in it as opposed to the top box which he used the drawers to bring his tools home and was bare, but its just another head ache tbh!
just wondering if anyone could offer any advice with it

Sorry to hear about your dad.
Given the box sat for so long rent free, I think you've no case here. You simply cannot expect for so much time to pass and for the item to be still there.
If you need toolboxes, the Halfords sets on offer atm are great, I have the large black set.

Nah its more sentimental value than anything. It was a vintage signet box can't get them anymore,
Time just went by I guess, never got around to it, however I'd have thought they would at least have the courtesy to call, or send a letter irrespective of it being there,
