Workshop airline set up

I want to put my compressor outside the workshop (in an enclosure) because its noisy but that means I can't see the pressure gauge on the tank.

Is it ok to put a T piece before my regulator/water trap (which is inside) and fit a gauge here to show pressure in the tank?
