Yeh....SNP v's Labour in Scotland......what an inspirational contest....can't wait.

Can't wait to abstain yet again and wait for something or someone who has even the slightest clue what their constituents want.

Thank Christ Scotland voted No.

If it had been a yes vote, a lot of Scottish Loyalists would have relocated to NI and we didn't want to be left alone with the English & Welsh!

Pretty sure they would have found quite a few better places to go to. :P

You'd think that but they gravitate towards nations with Soda farls' and marching.

Well, it's announced today that oil prices have fallen to an all time low in the last 4 years.

This was a subject brought up be the No campaigne, as the Yes side were projecting the development of Scotland and its economy based on prices that had only ever been achieved 3-4 times since production began!.....

Gert, is that worldwide?

Both sides were using unreliable projections. Supposedly only 1/3 of the wells were drilled this year in the North Sea and I can believe it judging on how few days I have done this year.

A fair bit of that will be due to Osbournes tax grab but I doubt an independent government could have relaxed it as they would have needed an awful lot of money quickly.

It's changed since this morning, when it only mentioned Brent. However, have a read. The fact is, the Scottish economy and development was based on figures that were not realistic..

Odd thing is, when there is conflict in the Middle East, oil prices go up. I'm surprised they are coming down.

The Yes campaign was slick but nothing stacked up, in my mind its amazing it performed as well.

Saying that, I don't think that's the end of the Independence question. I'd guess we will see another referendum in 20-30 years.
