couldnt grind it off for fear of explosion
couldnt use a blowtorch for fear of explosion.
ended up using a hacksaw (which took hours to cut)

Had to replace a front wheel bearing last week, luckily my dad had just wound up his business as an independent garage and gifted me all his tools
24" long, 3/4" drive ratchet made very short work of it
The only ones that have ever given me real trouble were :
Driveshaft nut on a trailing arm not currently attached to any vehicle - the only way to hold it still was to park the car on it!
Another trailing arm, this time the bolt that passes through the bush, holding it onto the rear beam. Would not move; had to be cut through with a hacksaw blade. Took about an hour
