175k miles

10 months MOT
Tax until October

Lachs silver metallic
5 speed manual
Four electric windows
Electric Sunroof
Central Locking
Electric mirrors
Genuine BMW floor mats (could do with replacing now)
Immobiliser
BMW Sports cloth interior (this is absolutely mint)

Pioneer 5/14 front speakers powered from a Pioneer CD/MP3 headunit.

Recently lowered 40mm with Kilen springs including new 4 oem shocks and upgraded E46 rear top mounts
Tyres are almost new.

The interior is in excellent condition no cracks in the dash and the usual wear to the BMW sports seats is not present, the car also has rear head restraints.
The interior for 19 years old is spot on.

There is a huge folder of history and receipts with original BMW owners wallet, showing in the last 4 years and 25000 miles loads of work has been done, including new bushes, mounts, suspension, springs, diff, head gasget replaced and valves adjusted, oh, and the cambelt and tensioner was done just over 3 years ago, so that would need doing at the next service to be safe I guess. There are 3 green lights showing by the way.

New exhaust system, battery and tyres all fitted in the last month.

Impeccably reliable and drives superbly - belies its age and mileage.

None of the usual slop from the gear lever, very solid all round car.

I would guess the brakes would need doing soon too, if I was keeping it I would do them next, for the £80 it costs to do them why not?

BAD BITS.

No rust in the usual places (scuttle/sunroof/sills) but there is a very, very small bit on the tailgate........

Couple of very small dents - one on n/s/r rear door - the paint is not damaged - usual stone chips to front but overall paintwork is in good condition for age. These are very minor.
Also a bit of paint needs touching up on the top of the bumper.

There are a couple of things that could do with sorting out, the drivers side wing has a dent on the top and at the front, so I would grab a new one when one comes up in Lachs silver.......

The dent on top would pull out....

Image

But there is also a small dent at the front and I am not sure this would pop out, the paint there is a bit tatty as well, so a new wing as and when once comes up cheap would be the best bet.

Image

You can also see the bit of paint on the bumper that could do with touching in.

Also some tosser has hit the passenger door too, this will pull out no problem but a new trim piece would be needed as well.
Worse case is £50 from dent devils and £10 for the trim piece from the dealer.
I was waiting to find a wing and would have just bought a spare door at the same time.

Image

I bought this car as a cheap second car, I also have a new 320d touring, but I have absolutely fallen for the E30 in every way.
I am going to buy another one with less miles on it because I am going to spend some serious money restoring it back to original condition, I can't see the point of spending thousands on restoring a car with 175k miles on it, it has to be a lower mileage version.
This car pulls like a train, the engine is an absolute peach.

I am in Norfolk but can meet up no problem as long as it is not too far.

£1100 or nearest offer.

Edit: I should have said that the BBS wheels could do with a refurb as the rims have just about all been kerbed.
There is also a rear load cover, just that I leave it out of the car.

I know, and I was tempted to start working on it, but the problem is I keep using this instead of the E91 touring so it would be 225k miles in 2 years time I reckon, so would be silly to spend loads getting this looking like new. :(

I have always wanted a black E30 touring and I already have a black tech II body kit I can get for next to nothing, so it is cheaper to start again with a different car.

what a lovely 5i touring, mate you will be waiting a long time to find better than that. Just keep it and drive it enjoy it. Sort those couple of dents and keep going. Milege is just a number and a high milege car with no issues and a stack of reciepts is still worth money.

I wouldn't sell that you will regret it. Most 325i tourings are getting like the 2 doors now, scarce, most are high milege abused runners which smell of a dogs arse inside. put some love into it and balls to the resale just enjoy the car like you are

Don't say that Simon, I think you may be right and I might just regret it. :(

It is a Weimaraner, rescue dog, our second rescue Weimaraner, always loads up to rescue as they are mental cases when they are pups. People get them cause they look nice and then can't handle them, they need serious exercise, but more than that they need constant company and hate being left alone, they are real pack animals.

I've spent what your asking for this on my touring already and its no where near as in good condition.

Plus a great colour and seats.
Your dog obviously likes it, keep it..

I'd say keep it. You won't find another one as nice as that unless you're lucky or you like white (the most popular colour in the eighties).

Haha, my dog loves the sofa too, and lies on his back with his legs in the air!! Bizzare!!

I am keeping the car for now, mainly because of some personal reasons which have meant buying/selling cars at the moment is the last thing on my mind.

Thanks to everyone who showed an interest and the kind words of support as well.
It may be back up for sale in teh next few months with a few extra tweaks.

It's staying mate.

All bushes being replaced over the next couple of weeks. And as funds allow I will put an M-Tec kit on it, a limited slip diff, tech II sterring wheel and a Z3 steering rack.

Have new discs and brakes sat here along with a master brake cylinder from a 750i.

8)

750i master cyl is a little unnecessary unless you have larger calipers fitted though
