Racing the train is a fantasy/sometimes reality that i have sometimes too. Theres a few miles of track a few miles long that run parrellel with the road and you can race it in a fast enough machine. Ive read 80mph on the speedo before i was overtaking the train. Unfortunately they've put up a few speed cameras along the said road so no more train racing

Plan is to do the work after the MOT-so we know whats wrong

think the brakes will be a prob as the handbrake is pointing to the sunroof, and the back discs look rough-but we were gonna do them anyway!

see what else is lurking then make a descision

bravo to the Mrs for the camera work -mine would be screaming at 90mph

I haven't raced a train yet, although I had a great race with a 2003 523i yesterday (Barge? :lol:

) and did him through the bends, much to his annoyance as when we got on the straight he came flying past me. I had backed off and laughed at him as he passed me.

On saturday, I was driving up the A14 going through Bury St. Edmunds, throught the road works at 40mph and a MK2 Golf GTi was on my case, we got to the end of the roadworks, with me in the slow lane, him in the fast lane. I kept and eye on my mirror and saw the front of the Golf lift up as he nailed it, I was in third waiting for him and nailed it too, he gave up and pulled back in.

I think people think my car is a 316/18 as it's debadged and has a single tailpipe :lol:

i did that
i took my badge off and put crap wheels on and i just looked like a 318 or 316
but it was a 325

ill do it to the one ive got too
