some of you may remember form a previous thread.

after buying my most recent e30 I found a few telltale signs that there was some kind of Clifford alram installed back in the day.

Well I found it, and it appears to have been installed by a blind woodsman with a 12 inch machete.

luckily it was disabled before I got the car, but its wired into everybloodything
also left a nice round hole in the top of my inner wing when I unbolted the siren.

God bless BMW for making everything easy to get to :D

No Pete, But a lot of the installers offer finance even to giro hunters.

This is probably why they are so badly installed, thinking the car needs to be a mobile bonfire and they are doing us all a favour.

(Pete, tyre pressure photo! :D)

MMMMMM looks interesting, mines got an AVITAR alarm fixed in it at the moment, every time you start the engine it locks the doors but sometimes it waits a couple of minutes before locking them, handy at the garsage when they shut the door and walk away, have to tell them to leave a window open, also if im working on the car I have to have the fob handy at all times to switch off the alarm cos it keeps going off, also if I take too long in turning the engine on from getting in it wont start unless I rearm then disarm the alarm, ive got three red LEDs around the dash and central tunnel one with a button next to it, also if I park her with her nose uphill it will sound the alarm, and sometimes on the flat it will go off, I,ll get in move her around ie reverse outof space and then back inb nd all will be fine, I know where the control box is for the alarm, but havnt got round to playing with it yet apart from turning the sensitivity right down cos everytime anyone walked past it would beep at them, running down the battery after a few days of standing, I,ll shut upnow cos ive had my rant and basically hijacked this thread whoops sorry

I'll stand by what I've aways said about Cliffords.

They are good alarms. And they have multiple features that other brands dont have

95% of the Problems are installation based. Find a decent installer and you ought to be fine.

Try finding one though...
