Can anyone help? im looking to buy an e30 2.5 4dr or touring but i dont know about any troublesome areas in either one.

does the body go in the same places as say a mk3 capri or mk1 escort as that is all ive had 4 a few years and hasnt been able to scrath my itch!!

I had an admiration for e30s for a long time now and reckon its time! :bmw:

hi and welcome to the zone theres loads of threads on this and theres loads of diffrent answers to this as well main thing to look for is rust and places to look is , sunroof panel, sunroof hatch, front footweels , rear chassi legs, boot floor, lower rear qtrs, rear inner arches, rear outer arches, scuttle panel, a pillars, inner wings where the strut top meets as ive seen them crack there, the tourings are normaly rot free but best to look them over and the tailgate on the tourings are famous for rotting, mechanicly wise the 2.5 make sure theres no over heating problems or blue smoke the heads are known to crack on them. best trying to get one thats been looked after mechanicly wise. rear trailing arm bushes and subframe bushes are known to be worn but arent that hard to do diy if your good with tools ( ppl may disagree with me about the subframe bushes ) there is other things to look out for but its 2 in the morning and my minds not %100 working
