over 10000 sales with a 99.4 positive rating? it must be true if it says it on ebay.

wow , the answer to melting pistons at high boost. a bit of wire and a fuse. ill need to enlighten the cosworth owners as it will be the answer to their prayers.

The auction text is rubbish, but the whole idea is not dumb. I remember, in Lancias Integrale and Fiats Coupe Turbo there was a problem with fuel over 330 BHP and the cheapest solution was new fuel pump feed wire with a section 2.5 mm2 at least. That was increasing fuel efficiency by ca. 25 - 30 l/hr.

the idea behind it isnt silly, but the wording is rather ott.

wiring and connections do deteriorate over time, and a lot of e30s are getting on for 20 years old now. a similar setup is often used on older cars to help make the headlights a bit more useable.

ok, so it's not suddenly going to give your car loads of extra power, but it could be worth doing in some cases, and if youre going to the trouble of overhauling a lot of the rest of the car, then it makes sense to pay some atterntion to the electrical system too.

the price isn't even too bad either. if they were £50 a pop then they would definately be taking the pi$$ and certainly not be worth it.

I remember, in Lancias Integrale and Fiats Coupe Turbo there was a problem with fuel over 330 BHP and the cheapest solution was new fuel pump feed wire with a section 2.5 mm2 at least. That was increasing fuel efficiency by ca. 25 - 30 l/hr.
i have done silimar to my lancia, i'm only running 260bhp, but had the parts needed sitting in the garage and an hour spare, and it cant cause any harm either. used some decent cable and connectors and a good clean, solid dedicated earth point for the fuel pump, just used the factory wiring to trigger the new relay. not going to claim i noticed a difference, but a lot of people i know have measured a large voltage drop at the pump with the standard wiring, and it seems sensible to me to try and minimise this.
cheers,

harry
