Mud flaps = rust traps?

My iS doesn't have mudflaps and was thinking of getting a set for it, but from having them on the 316i I know how much muck gathers behind them over time, which is a nasty moisture trap.

Do you think its worth getting a set just to keep the lower bodywork clean?

take em off every now and then and clean, that's all :)

on the plus side, if your e30 only has rust in that area, you're better off than most...

i had spotless arches for ages. put these on and after 2 monthes decided i didnԚ´t like them. when i removed them thet had destroyed the paint and given me rust patches :x

i wouldnt recomend them unles u get them bonded to the car and are 100% water tight or they will start to give u probs
