I'm making some for my 325 turbo too :)

I think there is a point in putting them on any engine if only for improved throttle response and idle :)

So you're saying if I put throttle bodies on my 2.7 I SHOULD get 270bhp!
I doubt it.

You are joking aren't you?!

Seriously, you're saying that and engine, 2v or 4v will make 100bhp/litre.

I'd say a more realistic figure for a 2v engine would be 75bhp/litre (taken from Dave Walkers Engine Management book).

Wasn't aware that there was a 1.9 206, unless you're refering to the diesel.

Either that or you're talking about the S16 engine'd GTi cars which have.....4valve heads, unlike the M20 which have 2valve heads.

You're right that you can gain by switching to TBs, but there's not a huge amount of point unless you're trying to regain something like a smooth idle and drivability when you've got high lift/overlap cams fitted, or in my case, trying to sharpen the throttle response taken by the turbos.

Also worth bearing in mind that TBs are often acompanied by new engine management which in itself can give decent gains.

 i happen to think that the 320 is an engine worth doing stuff too, and I intend to do just that, as soon as i stop spending all my cash on fuel

mr bird sir, engine tuning is a bit more involved than just whacking ITB's on and magically making the 100bhp/lite figure.

not saying its totally impossible but its going to require a bit more work than sticking ITB's on.

i want itb's dont expect to suddenly make 250bhp though ...would be nice.. mind you i want them more for the sound than anything else

im more than aware of this dont think im a newbie... well rephase that im a newbie to N/A cars spending the last 5-6 years on 200sx S13, S14, Silvia S12 and Skyline R33 GTST

the 206 i was talking about was down at a lad i knows place JAmsport in northampton may have been a 2.0?

If it was a 2.0 then it was most probably the s16 engine and as such does have 4v per cyl and so it's quite feasible to make 100bhp / litre in road going trim, but the point people are making is that not all engines have the benefit of 4v heads and the M20 is one such engine.
