E30 rag motorsport, how can you tell?

Im possibly going to view a e30 motorsport, how can you tell if its a genuine motorsport?, also is there anyway to check via no. plate online?

The spec I have managed to get so far is.

1991 325i convertible motorsport
macau blue
LSD
electric hood
bubble leather
sport kit
motorsport interiour?

BMW is the only way.

The main give away signs will be the wheels, the interior, the boot lining. Dont be fooled by badges & colours etc. Should also sit better with sport suspension. Its a style thing really.
