my cars going to be treated to a new master cylinder shortly , before i go and buy a std 318i one is there anything off another bmw model that will fit it and have a bigger piston etc and a bit more stopping power , fitted bigger master cylinders to motorbikes etc but not sure its something you can do on a car ?

if ive got to replace i may aswell upgrade at the same time

Your foot is the adjustment for the stopping power of the brakes.

You can fit the bigger m/c from a e32 750.

TBH it's not really necessary
I've run the std M/C with my 4 pots with no probs

As ed says, you could fit the 25mm one from the e32 750i
The 23mm one from an E30 M3 also fits

Unless your using calipers fitted with pistons way larger than std, there's not really any need to fit a larger diameter master cylinder
