looks like a Diesel with all the crap its kicking out the back, he must have been pretty annoyed a car with half the bhp kept up without much of an issue

Obviously not thought the whole car through.

Who cares! Was fun to watch......left him for absolute frickin dead on the straights.maxfield wrote:Have to agree!Yaninnya wrote:As said in the video. Power is nothing without control. Another car with engine from space shutlle and worn suspension and brakes. Not to mention driving skills...

If I was in the m3 I'd be pretty pissed that some shonky old e30 got away with such consumate ease.
Nice lil circuit though.
I know, i wouldn't really care about the above. The e30 absolutely killed it on the straights. bet the guy in the M3 was livid.lol.
Once that E30 gets decent brakes and suspension then it would be much better.

It's not all about speed you know. I know which one I'd rather own. (strike that, I'd like both of these).
What's all that smoke about? Looked like half the engine was leaving through the exhaust! Did anyone notice that when e30 floored it on the straight it left long black marks on tarmac

That e30 was a piece of sh*t! by the looks of it it would have blown up if it did a few more laps, did you see the body roll
The guy should have spent his money on making it handle.....
I have an m3 and i am not at all gutted that the e30 beat that one on the straights, you just have to take one look at the car to realise which one anyone would prefer

Didn't see the other car - just pointing that out. Could have been a nova.Trise30rally wrote:you just have to take one look at the car to realise which one anyone would prefer
Edit: just realised they showed the E46 right at the beginning... oh well **shrug**

same story when someone i know took me out in his 360 which pushes 500bhp was out run by a supra.
at the end of the day power is power and you can make any car have lots of power its just alot of cars arent designed to put all the power down, as you can see the e30 is squirming all over the place where my mates 360 sits dead planeted doesnt slide about or anything.

i would still have the e30 for the pure power of it, and its an e30......
I dont see the point of the 600bhp e30 in the video either. He will get his arse handed on a plate on a more twisty track.
The e30 looks like it will only last 5 minutes also...
600bhp skyline will deal with both cars, and be more reliable.

Iv heard about the black smoke being excess fuel too as its used to cool the engine down. i know my metty turbo engine is meant to run rich for cooling purposes.
All that E30 needs is some decent running gear and a paintjob.

I'm sue I'd have more fun driving the e30 than the e46. And I know without doubt which one I prefer the looks of

Hehe, yeah there is that.lol.
I agree, id much rather have a mad turbo E30 than an e46 M3. Crazy power and the looks to go with it. Just spend some extra money and the car and it would be a weapon if it handled and stopped properly. Love it!

The e46 might go round corners better but i bet the guy in the e30 was having much more fun.
Obviously for a daily driver the m3 would be my choice however, if somebody gave me an empty track and the choice of the 2 i know which one id pic.

I wouldn't call going around a track in a car that clearly handles (and smokes) like a boat, fun...........

Dangerous cars are always more fun to drive... thats why i love capris! especially V6 and 8 ones. they try and kill you at every available opertunity.

I doubt it.....rossle wrote:the porsche driver must be a bit pi$$ed ha cant shake him....
This must be the gt i saw when i went to the ring. The owner is about 126 years old. And is also worth plenty of dollar, its doubtfull that he wants to spank the thing..

Hmm. I'm going on a nice 800 mile drive this weekend. Do I take the E46 M3, 343 reliable bhp, comfy, sharp handling, 30+ mpg or some turbocharged shitheap E30 which will get about 100 miles before dumping it's guts all over the A303.
Decisions Decisions. Have any of you actually driven an E46 M3?
