Hi everyone, just after a few opinions on the following;

I've got a Gloss Black 318 convertible with 17" Alpina reps and lowered 35mm. I'm gonna fit an is front lip and I've just bought an Alpina C2 bootlid spoiler (rubber, so no paint needed!)

Since buying the boot spoiler I'm having 2nd thoughts about fitting it. The car itself has only done 58,000 miles and the paintwork is near on immaculate. At 1st, I thought the back end looked a little too plain, so I got the spoiler but now I'm not sure wether I want to start drilling holes in the bootlid.

What do you think? :?

IMO the only spoiler that looks good on a cabby is the little lip one - like the one on the back of my car - if you can't see it very well I'll find another pic.

The Alpina one's similar to M Tech I isn't it? I'd say no to Tech I and definitely no to Tech II, though the lip is nice :)

If it's like a tech-1, go for it :thumb:

There's a bunch of pics of my (red) cab with a tech-1 spoiler (& with the tech-2 that came on it!) in the photo gallery section, if you wanted to get an idea of how it'd look :cool:

Saying that though, I think they look great without spoilers, as long as they're lowered / have flashy rims etc... like yours! It's all personal preference I'm afraid...

The Alpina one is quite bulky and not subtle at all - it extends out to cover the edges of the rear wings too. I like the spoiler on your car Zayan, I had that one on my last is, but one of those would obviously need to be painted

Painting's not really a problem, (dare I say it?) Halfords should have the right shade for under a tenner for primer and paint and if they don't they can mix it up for you for not a lot of money.

The brilliant red paint I bought in a can there was a perfect match :thumb:

I'd leave the spoiler mate. I think only body kitted cars like mine look good with a spoiler, although i do really like the M-tech one. I think you sould slam it, chuck on some nice rims and let the lines flow naturally :wink:

No spoiler... 17" Alpina reps and front lip will make the car look really smooth. Best way to be I reckon.

Thanks for all the replies fellas. It looks like I will be leaving the boot spoiler off.

Does anyone want to buy an Alpina C2 boot spoiler :chuckle:
