Jimbob has a g-tec timer which you plug into the ciggie lighter and it times it for you. Could have a mini meet and test it out!

My brother got dead on 8 when we tried his out (running on 17's) and once like 7.9 or somthing i think

No mate. It was a sweet engine though. Although youve gota remeber the g techs arnt 100% mate, on my 318i some of the times had a second or so between them!
So if you did an average id say it was pulling low 8's (the IS that is)

My 318iS saloon can pull mid 7's .... depends on the timer, my Gtech doesn't always seem to know when i've hit 60...

According to Autocar and other mags, the 318iS (standard) is 9.3 secs to 60.... 2 peeps + full tank of fuel...I'd expect a cab to be 1 sec slower. I take it this is a transplant.

I was doing 8.7s and 8.8s with whell spin in the wet, still not got round to trying it in the dry.
