right i need some sensible advice. i've just been offered a 318 for Ԛ£30 and am debating putting the 3.5 lump in it from my 5 and selling it on.
but is it worth it? what do you reckon it would be worth finished? or is it better to sell it as a 318 and sell the 5 seperately. the 3 needs a fuel tank and a wheel bearing for mot. the 5 needs a brake pipe. both easy jobs
but don't want to keep either of them. it's all about the money.
what do you think?

i'd only do the 335 conversion if you were keeping it.With a 318 you've got to look at uprating/changing the suspension and brakes ?

It all adds up $$$

ditto

lot of work, worth it, but probably not worth that much to someone else.

starting with a four pot makes a lot of extra work for you in terms of brakes and suspension!

You could fix both for (wheel bearing Ԛ£40= fuel tank dunno Ԛ£50 and brake pipe say Ԛ£100 Ԛ£100 ish and sell them at a decent profit if they're both in reasonable condition. Then buy a 325 and gradually collect the bits for a 335 or get a 325 and a 535 and make one pronto.
