Is this in a bad shape dirt wise?
I've never taken the TB and airflow stuff off before and want to know if this is what should be expected after at least 100,000 miles since it was last done, maybe longer but i know for fact that its been at least this long.
The oily stuff is ok i've been informed, but i'm really interested in the level of carbon in there,is is lots or is it sod all?

First pic is inside the bit the TB joins to and the second is the TB with the butterfly held open.

What you think folks?

PS Bill Gates, yes, thats more work being done :D

Theres more carbon on the inside of the TB that you can't see,the same amount thats on the bit you can see,if that makes any sense!

Looks normal to me mate, if you give it all a good clean out and the TB also it should drive a little better.

I posted a how to guide all about it.

Thats exactly what prompted me to get on with it and do it!
Was a great guide

I've just got back in after going for a drive after refitting it all and the car feels like its got a bit more gusto, from 4000rpm it feels like its got more pull than it did.
Blew away an Alfa 14something whilst I was at it too!
