whats the widest set of rims that will fit on a 4 stud e30, with no modifications, my arches are already rolled at the rear,
does it make any difference in the width you can go to by using 15 , 16, or 17inch rims
thanks spook

Youd be fine with 16X9" on the rear with stretched tyres. I personally wouldnt go wider on the front than 7.5/8"

Also depends on the drop.

My 16X9j rub on the back with rolled arches and 60 or 80mm drop. Fronts no probs with 16X7.5J

whats the likely ness of having to roll your arches with 17x8j, and a 60/40 drop(i think very high but i thought id ask) , and what tyres would you recommend.. i want stretched tyres, can any wheel tyre guy do this, or is it slightly more complicated. sorry to poach your thread, and sound like a numpt, but any help would be appreciated!
cheers merkyboy!

i have 9j all round and the arches are rolled, lowered it too much at the back 60mm , probably could use a 20mm drop at the back with wider wheels.

It's not just the width and drop you have to consider the offset too. If you had a higher offset, providing you've got inner arch/damper clearance you'd gain clearance at the arch and you'd probably be fine.

Aren't most 9j wheels that fit an e30 et15?

Also wouldn't a higher offset mean going through rear tyres very quickly?

I'm think that my borbet t's are et15.
