Ho, there is also a whole page advertising the Ace Caffe meet this Saturday so you know there will be some proper beasts coming along, so if you haven't put your name down already in the meets section, then may i suggest you do so or you will miss out on what promises to be a fantastic day

I've just picked up a copy and there's a big feature about the fastest BMW's in the COUNTRY SHOOT OUT. There were a couple of E30 there, but all in all i was dissapointed with the times run by all the cars there. I'm sure there are much faster BM's than what turned out hidden around the Country. If there isn't then we are in trouble cause we would be way behind the rest of the World when it comes to tunning.

The fastest 0-60 times range from 5.56 secs to 8.02 secs by one of the E30's. Fastest 0-100 range from 11.88 secs to 19.55secs again by the same E30. Top speed is from 163.40 mph by the same car that's been the fastes in everything so far and the slowest was a Kumho Racings E36 which managed 128.98 mph.
I'm with you about the weather on Sat. It hasn't been too good so far this week has it? Might have to get my grass skirt out and do my rain dance

I too was a little shocked at how slow the times are....but they are using GPS kit and it should be as accurate as you can get.
Fastest e30 to 60 was 6.07 secs, which I believe is a tad slower than Karans!! Although it topped out at 158mph which is rather impressive.
This summer Dale's will be ready (hopefully), Busters turbo, Turbobrown's twin turbo, Ants turbo, my turbo, Jon_bmw's turbo, andy's and Toby's 3.5's, Glenns MONSTER, Adam's 2.8, Jimbobs 2.7 and whatever Bootyman decides to implant upfront too, so look out PBMW cause the ZONE is getting faster
Infact there's a lineup already!! Bring on the summer!!
Do you means Dips's car? If so thats actually a M3 with a M30 3.5 & a turbo!!hammoj28 wrote:Theres that Alpine white 325i turbo with over 300bhp that was featured a while ago.Why didnt they bring it along??

lol!my 320 could whip that!Kumho Racings E36 which managed 128.98 mph.
we must avenge the honour of the e30 by asking PBMW to a feature on the 'zone-that way we can show those e3/46 boyz how its done

I was not a happy man because the top BMW's costing Ԛ£50k+ at the shoot out were making power figures of Ԛ£5k to Ԛ£10k Rice cars and it's not good for our image. My mate Neil Chapmans 5 series with the supercharger and a million other mods has been featured front cover of PBMW twice, but yet he wasn't there and that car cost Ԛ£100k, running some serious power. I dont think they should have called it "THE FASTEST BMW's IN THE COUNTRY" Cause it makes a mokery of us Brits to the rest of the tunning world

Benny Iain is British mate
I met him when i had my shhot for them. Nice chap. I was in Sweden not long ago and they make silly figures with anything BMW, from E21's, all the way to the 7 series. They just starp on a massive lorry turbo with intercooler's the size of house and they run 500bhp as standard almost, then you get the big boys who run from 600bhp to the M5 i think it was that was running 1050bhp. What a trip that would be
