Well I put my car into my old garage for an inspection this week, she failed on brake pipes weeping, front flexi bubbling (and I drove her there!) and passenger sill fillered up, NOT impressed, thought that was the solid part, so just going to cut out the whole sill and replace with a new, dont want to patch it, and then new brake lines, seal it all up and off to MOT station again. Real good lads didnt charge me at all.

Is it all going to be worth it? HELL YES, but driving my Escort estate in this naturally good weather is getting me down, roll on spray booth and MOT cert.

Have a good weekend lads and lasses, I envy you all.

Regards Mark.

The sill I am getting from either Euro or GSF, the front wings that they supplied fitted straight on no messing, (OK a litle trimming on offside but nothing major), they cost Ԛ£15.00.

Start it again? Yes I would, I dont like not knowing what I am driving, if I hear a noise in the Escort I know exactly what it is and if its a problem. I would have hated to put the BMW on the road, then found out two weeks after taxing and MOT that it'd have to off road for a while to dry carpets out and weld up the inner wing. I love working on my own cars.

Oh and the only thing I cant do is weld, and spray so I have friends for that. Thanks for the comments guys, just wish I could do stuff quicker I want to drive it!!!!!

Regards Mark.

A few weeks? You bragging?

Be a couple of months at least, while carpets out think I am going to lay all the leads for the amp and stuff. Its all good fun really.
