Can anyone tell me the weight of a 7J 15" BB bare wheel in kilos. Need to arrange DHL delivery and have just knackered the kitchen scales so I know they are well over 6kg.

Gonna stick the scales back in the cupboard and hope she doesn't notice.

Actually I may have missread your post completely, sorry. I'll leave this here just incase it is right.

I can't help exactly but since no one else has replied yet and it sounds a bit urgent:

I have 7x15" TSW wheels (very similar to the BBS design) made from spun alloy and they are about 7kg each. I imagine the BBS would be something like that. Actually that wasn't helpfull at all because now I think about it "about" 7kg could be anywhere from 6.5kg to 8kg :( . Been a while since I weighed them, definately not more than 8kg though.

Sorry I can't be more helpfull.

The ETK list's it at 7.38Kg. That does not include the centre cap or anything else.

Cheers,

Ian.

Thanks for that guys. Can safely assume that two wheels, packaged will be under 25kg, which means they can be sent DHL parcel to go for about a tenner. :notworthy:

Just FYI, the TSW versions are significantly heavier than the BBS... I've got both without tyres in my garage & the difference is obvious when you pick them up.

I just weighed one of the TSW wheels, 8kg exactly. So 600g more than the BBS. Good thing I stoped using them, now I have 16"x7" Rota Subzero wheels that weigh 6.5kg. So they save 6kg in unsprung weight :D . Oh and the 15" version of the Subzero wheels are only 5.4kg so that makes the TSW wheels look heavy.
