Rear wiper E30 sport

Why did it never occur to BMW to hit a rear wiper on these models. I don't get it? Is there a magic method of getting rid of standing rain water that i'm not aware of, other than trying to dry them with the rear windscreen heated elements?

Maybe the Autoglym glass polish would help dispel the water?

Look back less. Or just use wing mirrors.

Never been an issue on my E30, or my E39.

When did you ever see a saloon car with a rear wiper arm, they just don't need them.
Travel above a certain speed and water doesn't land on the rear window due to aerodynamic flow.
The same areodynamic flow will clear the window eventually.

Hatchbacks and tourings only have them due to issues with back spray, which you dont get on slaoons due to big boots in the way.


If you wanna stop ran building up on the window when stationary or slow moving I would use RainX, a few coats should do it.
I use it on all my windows and wing mirrors, helps to stop dew building up overnight and helps it clear even quicker when you drive.


Anyhow, BMW drivers don't need to look behind them, they only need to look forward to see what there gonna overtake next

Rain-X or even just a coat or regular car wax works well on the rear and side windows.

Think Preludes had rear wipers too (earlier ones in any case)

I've often wondered why saloon cars don't tend to have them. "Just because" is presumably the answer.

Carlack68's glass sealant is like rain-x with balls. Is a much better product imo.

I wax my windows will auto glym super resin polish so the rain just glides off the windows.
