Sorry this is not E30 chat but it is BM related. Right my mate who has more money than sense drives a BMW 850 and wants some alloy wheels other than the BBS Style crosspoke splitrims he's got. I recon he should go for either some Alpinas or some Ronal stylee ones, think I have seen some with black middles. Any ideas?
Also does any one know the dimesions of the wheels on an 850?
Couldn't find any pics of the typo I'm talking about, but what do people think to these wheels?

Like the second one, they look like M Paralells, similar to what BMK has on his M3....

I dunno about pinas, cos it's not an alpina, always a bit daft to me. I was thinking some like Zayyan sig pic but with the centres sprayed black cos the car is diamond schwartz.

Yeah they would suit the car, still wouldn't be as good as x-spokes though!

But perfect if he's after something different....

Ah ha! Right in my territory!

The standard 8-series wheel was 16" with the option of 17" BBS split rims which look good but corrode quickly.

Any wheel from an E34 (1988-95) or E39 (1996-2002) 5-series will fit tho' the E39's will require adaptor rings for the centres. The 7-series is also a source.

17" look good, don't spoil the ride & handling & tyres are a reasonable price. 18" are more of a compromise & tyres cost a lot more.

The 8-series is a good source of wheels for 6-series owners.

My 635 has 235/40 on 8x17 & 255/40 on 9x17 from an E39 Sport. Full set of G/Year F1's cost under Ԛ£450, wheels were Ԛ£550 2/hand refurbed.

I want one, six that is.

Don't like the look of the Shnitzers on the 850, too "Garry and Chrome for me". I love those E39 Sport wheels.

Cheers mate, I'll show them to Moe.
He'll probably like the Schnitzers, but then he is a funny little Italian man
Will see how much he wants to spend. How much do you recon a set of E39 sports would be?

Very nearly went for a set of Rondell 058's. They are 8.5 x17.

The E39 Sport wheels (BMW Style 32) were Ԛ£550 refurbished ie. good as new. I got them from Motorforce in South Shields (they advertise in TBMW & BMWCar). Handy as I live just over the river!

New from the Main Stealer they're Ԛ£200 + each. Careful as the E46 had the same style but with a different offset ( less dish on the wheel).

The rears in particular look great. I'll have to sort out a better picture of them . . .

Tah's a wiked pic mate cheers, I'll print it off and show it to Moe, I reckon they'd look wicked on his 850. Motorforce is quite convenient too.
