Missus at work and the kids away for the weekend,i decided to attack my scabby rear wheel arches, just made myself a nice holiday week job replacing both rear arches and make up inner arch repairs! Bugger!!

Guess i better buy a new mig,as i killed my last one welding my mates 4 mini's 8O

Why didnt i just watch the telly instead of playing with power tools!?

Because there's always work to be done on an E30, and you want to drive around in a smart E30, so you just got to go and do it, DON'T YOU?

Saturday afternoon telly is Crap anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not alone, the grinder has been out and i have been in some strange positions in my boot! i have managed to change three tiny holes into fist size holes, simply heartbreaking  ,but its all for a good cause . Time to cut some patches to size , good luck with those arches, I'm glad mine are okay
regards

PICS! LOL
Oh well at least you can do it all yourself and have the tools available. Some people pay silly money to get it all done.

Plasma Cutter? We'll all be fitting Phasers and Proton Torpedos instead of fog lights soon! Fire when that yellow camera comes in range Mr. Sooloo.

I was up at my fathers garage late one night when I fancied having a go a patching up the two rusting holes from where the alarm had been removed (inner wheel arch)

I'd never used a welder before and there's was nobody there to help me....lol

Manager to just about get the plate cut and bent to shape but when it came to welding it in ended up with a big blotchy blobby pile of crap haha I hadn'tturned the gas on properly.

stil, it's quite solid.. if a little rusting cos it's not been painted yet :)

If anybody's interested I'll show them at ace cafe on sat.
