Hi Everyone. :)

Loving my driveway this afternoon...

Image

My touring, engine is dead.... :(

Took off the expansion tank earlier to wash out, and it wasn't just a bit of mayo. I was like mayo sludge. Putting the hose in one end...the other end was throwing out this sludge like a playdo machine! No wonder it died.

Anyway, onwards and upwards....

Got the 3.5 engine sorted (thanks Nelly), got an M3 prop (thanks Andyp), custom mounts (thanks Karan) some bits coming from Andy335 (thanks!) soon...and a few other bits on the way soon....(rad/electric fan etc)

Can't wait for that to be done

The Sport, well thats going into the specialists next Saturday to check that the overheating problem is definately the head. If it is, it's going to have a secondhand, but pressure tested/skimmed head put on. Then it's just the couple of bits off rust to sort and I'll be loving it. :D :D

So at the moment, two lovlely cars which don't work

But not for long...

:D

Who cares if they've got dead engines?

If I had a driveway like that I could just stand looking at them all day :D

Very nice mate, that touring is going to be sweet with a big 6 up it.

What sort of ETA (no pun) for getting it done, just realised what I typed I KNOW a 3.5 isn't an ETA....

Wilson, did you get that off ebay, I saw it on there a while ago and though it looked nice.

Thanks chaps,

Was loving it yesterday, touring is back in the garage now.

Washed the sport yesterday, and it's covered in minging dust today! And the cats always walk all over it with their muddy paws the little gits. I said to my Dad I was gonna shot them with my air pistol and he said he'd call the police! (I would never actually do that!!)

Andy, in terms of getting it done...

I've got quite a few bits now for the conversion, like I said above, still some more bits I need. I need a manual M30 gearbox, loom, errmm, couple more bits too probably.

The latest I wanna have it done is the end of July. So fingers crossed.

Gotta concentrate on Uni, I finish on the 8th of June  :D so I'll have some time off to chill out, and find all the bits I need and start doing it!

The sport will hopefully be fixed within two weeks. It looks like I'll be selling the Civic to fund fixing the Sport. Which is kind of gutting cos the Civic is awesome fun.

Still, be nice to have two working E30's!! :D

how hard is it to put a 2.5 in ?? is it loads of agro changing wiring looms etc. . finding the engine won't be a problem i know of 2 near me... its finding somone to do it that won't balls it up.

Probably the best way is to buy a complete 325i donor car.

You can then transfer all the bits....

Engine
Gearbox
Wiring loom
ECU
prop
diff

It's mainly nuts and bolts, and not too hard.
