He claims its an "original m-tech", though there's very little original about it, I would seriously doubt that it ever was one though (I presume he means a sport) because it has comfort seats in it.

Also, he claims the alloys are off a Lamborghini, yet you can clearly see they are Image splitties, which are still nice, but not Lambo. Also can't remember ever seeing 4 stud Lambos.

The car does look like most of the mods have been done well, but even if it was to my taste (which it isn't) I wouldn't feel confident splashing strong money on it when there is such a strong whiff of :bs:

No Lambo has those wheels. I think he meant to say Lambo style. There is also more than 3 of the kits ever made. I know cause i have the 1st one in the Country and there was 7 made here.

As for this comment i wont even bother to answer, but just because you like a particular kit, does that make you a Chav? Maybe it's you who cant afford it so you're bitching :?

..........Personally i don`t know (nor would i like to take a guess) at what he was meaning but if i were to sell a car i would not put basic lies in there like the speed the car is supposed to be capable of and the fuses costing £25.00 then there is the sparkplugs utter nonsense, the sentence does not even read right.
Then the guy gore on to state that he has purchased nothing but the best including Lamborghini wheels, well that does not read like lookalike wheels to me also the wheels are nice but they are not, (even arguably imho) the best.
There is no history but only 3 owners, he then goes on to state that the car has been serviced every 3000 miles but what proof is there?
As for your last point regarding the previous post, i too think the car is totally chavtastic, approx £5k would buy a very nice sport with history so why would anyone bother with this?
Most people could afford it. I would give him £1k for it and take that ridiculous bodykit off the car and respray it in the original colour, put new reasonable sized for a 2.5 litre wheels on the car.
No it`s not the bitching or jealousy that makes people dislike this kind of thing it`s the fact that in most peoples eyes it`s just WRONG!.....
Each to his or her own but by the same token everyone can express a view, an opinion, my view like some others on here is that it is just wrong and a stupid waste of money.

Yes you can express an opinion, but at the end of the day, the man spent his money on what makes him happy. Is that so wrong? I agree his advert is full of silly claims, but that's not my issue here. I could have bout a Ferrari or a Lambo with the amount i've spent on my car, but i didnt. I decided to spend £20k on a engine, £15k on interior and ICE and lots more on individual things that makes my car a one off. I dont like a lot of the standard cars here cause it's not my cup of tea, so would it be ok if i went round telling people their car is a pile of sh@t? I'm not defending myself in anyway cause i know what my car does for me. It's already been in 3 mags and is waiting for another couple of front cover features, so i can sleep at night. I just dont think it's right for people to slate other peoples cars when they drive £500 shitters themselv.

The work looks ok, the wheels are lovely. The BS in the ad is Barryboys gold. It's not a bad looking motor.

As for kit numbers, I'm sure there are a few sites still selling the kit. I remeber looking at a site, may have been called autovogue about 4 years ago with the reiger infinity (that's what the kit is called?) for sale in £'s. They also had e36 and e46 look alike kis for the e30. Plus a pic of a blue Euro cab with the e36 kit on it, some badass deep dish wheels and a bonnet mod (may have been bad boy, sic). The car looked awesome. The work was top notch and the spray job was excellent.

so, slightly off topic but the same rules apply
By the same token because i drive a 1.8 shitter i do not have a right to state an opinion?
so because i have not given Jodie Marsh, Jordan or that silly c0w Jade *one* i should not have the opinion of them as fame hungry money grabbing slappers?
Or that because i don`t know a great deal about F1 and Ferrari that i cannot hold the opinion that they are cheating ba5tard5 ?
I was not refering to your car, i don`t think i`ve ever seem it, i don`t usually buy magazines.
Silly claims? lies and that is at least part of the issue.
Part of this forum is about expressing an opinion and everyon has that right.

I would rather have the standard car and have spent all of the money taking it to BMW for proper services, it`s not imho as if he has done anything at all to enhance the car by spending (allegedly) a shit load of cash on it.

I don`t intend to post anymore, i don`t want a slanging match.

^^^+1^^^

Perosnally i like the look of the car, the colour, the wheels, think the kit suits this car, there are many e30's around that have kitted their cars out with certain kits which look just pure :puke: .

Each to their own and as ben says, im sure other e30 owners would not like it if someone went around saying their cars that they have spent hard earned cash are just shit.

Originally that kit was £6k. You can now get them for half that price. The Infinity kit you are talking about is just the front, rear bumper and side skirts. This kit is called the Rieger Genesis kit. I have a set of the Infinity in my garage and like you said, as with most kits, it's the fitting and painting of the car that makes or breaks the look of the car regardless of the cost.

As for the wheels, maybe he should have put 17" Alpina replica's on the car to approve with the Zone taste

All valid points above and i'm not entering into a slanging match with you. Believe me i have better things to do with my time. We are having a adult disscusion here.

The point i'm trying to make is by no means have your openions, but unless they are asked for then keep them to yourself. I posted the original thread on this car lastweek and i was taking the mick out of his advert. Like i said, i think many of the cars here are shitters, but i know the owners have worked hard to creat what works for them and i have no right to voice out my dislike. All i can do is try and appreciate the hardwork that they have put in like it or not

Ho and my car gets a proper service too. Dont presume because we spend lots on the car we cant afford to have it serviced! winkeye

Complete replacement front and rear wings and door skins. That's where your car falls short if you have a crap fitter cause it will leave gaps big enough to drive a bus through!!

Wheels are sweeeeet. The kit looks pretty damn good imho as well (paint looks great too - good colour for the kit, almost as good as a nice Candy Orange... ;) ) - I'd lose the rear spoiler & tinted lights though. Clearly the ad's rubbish, & the seller doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box (& knows virtually nothing about cars!), but the 'top speed' claim is clearly stated as being on a RR & hence is totally believable...

It was originally meant to be red. I had it painted and they painted the panels off the car and when they put it back together, all the panels were a different shade. I took the car back and took it to my mate, then i picked the colour from a tiny chart having no idea how it would come out and it turned out ornage, so when the cracked my front bumper at the MOT test centre and i needed a respry again, i decided to try for the original Kandy Red. I dont normally care about winning shows etc, but it is nice to have a few throphies for your own satisfaction sometimes.

So i'm new to the forum and seems like i've already sparked a little debate

I think stE30 picked up on my meaning and others also stepped in to justify it. I'm sorry bootyman if you took offence, that was NOT my intention, i was'nt implying any car that looks anywhere like this is a pile of $hit, your words not mine. :o:

I have great respect for the time, effort, cost and indeed talent that goes into making a car like this, although i could not own one myself, this has nothing to do with cost or ability, if you have the money there are enough specialists around who can build your dream. this is however not MY dream.

bootyman, you say opinions should be given only when asked for, isnt that what you were asking for by posting this thread ? ? ? . . . mine happens to differ from yours, in my eyes thats no biggy, isnt that what makes a forum ? ? ? . . .
