Beat the c*nt who offered you the FTO within an inch of his life and tell him you're not into cross dressing.siddiqi1 wrote:I went ot Ace Cafe once, took my beloved Sport with me, tbh i wont lie i wasnt very fond of shopwing my car off that much, but when i went past Ace Cafe to turn around, three people took pictures....

My mate was chuffed when some lads were taking pictures of his touring till his friend pointed out "oh yeah, those boys are big into cloning cars"
I was chuffed when my dad, whose cars include a few jags and porsches and a bentley continental gt, currently a carrera s, said of my turd touring "cool car" and then bought a brand new 330d touring for his missus
Had a few offers but thats only when it's parked up and they can't hear the mighty m40 err... roar

The local funeral directors keep staring at mine.

I've come back to my car a few times and had a few people standing around it, i love seeing their reaction when i hit the the alarm. But to be honest i dont feel comfortable with that kind of attention, you never know when someone might key it...
I've had a few offers for mine buts either scare them off when i tell them how much i want for it or just say i aint interested.
Got a fw comments in petrol stations in my touring as well when i had that

Have been asked a good few times if I'm selling, and the answer is always the same ! The lad who bought my old lachs touring wanted to buy my new one too !!

My track slag gets unwanted attention whilst sitting the drive, not keen on having complete strangers, most of them dodgy looking foookers, knocking on the door asking if its for sale.
Quite chuffed when I'm out and about in daily driver when people make nice comments though!

i get 1, 2 and 3 quite a bit and have been approached in supermarket carparks and in petrol stations.. and a few days ago had 4 local scallies stood looking at the car for a few minutes before i set the alarm off from inside the house!!
In all fairness the FTO is not a bad car, especially in the GPX Mivec form with the manual box, and they handle likt they're on rails.Rosc0PColtrane wrote:Beat the c*nt who offered you the FTO within an inch of his life and tell him you're not into cross dressing.siddiqi1 wrote:I went ot Ace Cafe once, took my beloved Sport with me, tbh i wont lie i wasnt very fond of shopwing my car off that much, but when i went past Ace Cafe to turn around, three people took pictures....

ive had a couple of old duffers ask to buy it when ive been at a petrol station filling up. usually its because they used to have one similar and miss it because it was a good car. once i tell them what ive done to it and how much ive spent on it they tend to change their minds
i regularly get people approaching me about the car as theyve heard about the conversion and want to see it. ive even had old men in suits (one in a new m5) come over to ask if its the one theyve heard about with the cossie engine? i get a lot of attention from younger boy racer types but its all been positive so far and good natured races

I've had people come up to me and say how much they like the car.
Have had E36 drivers staring longingly and drooling at it as well.
Scooby drivers just stare as I outbrake them

Few times. Which is a few times too often for me. I just tell people its a replica (1.6) or that its buggered underneath (rust, engine knocking and gearbox shagged) and not worth saving so Im running it into the ground.
Im not, but it puts them off sufficiently normally.
Had some bloke ask me whether I wanted to sell it. THEN proceeded to ask me lots of questions about it.
I just sat there PRAYING the lights would change soon.
Dont mind the occassional "nice car mate" But I dont like it to be anywhere a) near my house or b) somewhere I cant escape from easily

i had a guy put a note thru the sunroof of mine a few years ago. he seemed really interested and said he had the money, so i had it valeted and serviced it as i thought it would help it along its way. the bloke was south african and seemed really dodgy on the test drive, i was driving about and all he kept doing was to look out the back window alot. seemed very on edge and that scared the crap out of me. i later decided that i was lucky not to have been forced out of the car or something. he kept bothering me afterwards for a while but seemed to get the message after i told him i wasnt interested in talking to him unless he had the cash to buy it.
One of the best one's is when the driver literally hangs out the car from his/her window (both arm's out) to look at your ride
. It's quite embarrassing really lol.
Any other weird/good experiences anyone? lol
