Hello all, been on the site for a while, tho till now ive had an e36.Im keeping that but i needed something else so ive just bought an e30 320i 2dr.
The plan is to strip it out and use it as a track car as well as on the road.
The car ive bought is in need of a bit of work but thats why i wanted it!!
My question is this,is it worth keeping the 320 engine or would it be worth while swapping it for a 325?Why didnt you just buy a 325 i hear you ask, well because i only paid Ԛ£200 for the car and thats with 325i brakes, lowered suspension, reclining cobra bucket seats a lovely one off bonnet and a few more bits and bobs that would have cost alot more on there own!!!
Would the 325 give a huge increase in power?also how easy would the conversion be?what would i need to upgrade?
thanks in advance,shane

YAY!!!
Well done mate.
Could be a good idea to buy a donor car, cos you'll need...
Engine
Gearbox
Prop
Diff
ECU
Loom
Think that covers it?
But yeah, I went from 2.0 to 2.5 in my touring and it's a big difference, and well worth it.
Any pics mate?

Right then, here she is at the end of last year, imagine it without the bumpers, spoiler and 18s and thats what my Ԛ£200 bought!!Its had an e36 rear light conversion too tho not sure about this at the mo.The reiger sideskirts have also been blended into the car so its gonna take a bit of work to get right, not too bothered tho coz with all the other bits that came with it,it was still a good buy wether i keep it and use it or strip it and put the bits on another one, still undecided, will have to wait and see when i start playing with it!!!

(oh yes lots of work i know, but cant wait to get stuck in

I thought so,aside from a couple of holes in the bootlid from that evo spoiler, the body is immaculate. The chap i bought it from spent a fortune on it and then decided to move to spain,he's taking the bumpers with him tho for his next project,he sold the wheels sadly b4 i got there. They now live here............china_blue wrote:bargain at Ԛ£200

before u go mad though! 325i throttle body on the 2 litre! you will need a newgasket and have to dremmel the inlet manifold to suit the bigger 2.5 one.
