I've spent the afternoon pulling cars out of worse than this with my tractor. Apologies to the black E30 cab owner on the B4213 near Apperley. I couldn't get to you whilst you were still with your car. It has now been abandoned.

Pics to follow later. Have had an awful day here. Wife got her car stuck and flooded it out.

Most of my village is under water and there is a caravan floating in the high street. Just off back out now with a work team to help out. Might see if I can rescue this poor cab too.

it's been bad my way also, for some stupid reason i went to work today, and my wipers packed up last week. It was okish though!

I drove through a flooded road today and it was nearly in through the doors my exhaust was below the water and sounded very strange! Watercooled diff and gearbox!

M25 was flooded and pretty grim earlier today too

Fook me.

Been the worst day here for years. Living by the river we get used to water here and there but nothing could prepare us for this.

I have pulled out half a dozen cars, rescued a number of stranded villagers and also pulled my wife's car in which was flooded to the underside of the dashboard. My friends house had been abandoned, he has three feet of water in his lounge. They are staying the night in a local hotel.

I had to rescue my kids from school in the tractor as four wheel drives were washing up on the side of the road.

If anyone has seen the day after tomorrow movie, that's what my day has been like.

I have just witnessed someone being airlifted by RAF helio from our adjoinng village. Damn those boys are good. At one point I reached water so deep that it washing in the cab of the tractor and had no choice but to turn back. To give you some idea how deep it was look at the pics:

My tractor, not a girlie tractor...

i was going to say what use is a tractor to a plumber but i dont think the answer would make much sense...

good man dameon, had all this in sheffield a couple of weeks ago. got a good photo of my pals car floating off down a main road, water was up to the bottom of the windows and it managed 1/4 mile.
