I'm off to collect a 2 door one of these tomorrow and was wondering, how many 320iS E30's are in the country? I've found the total built numbers for 4 door and 2 door models, but, nothing on the quantity that have found there way over to the UK.

Well, it's now mine and sitting proudly in my workshop awaiting some TLC and an MOT. According to the previous owner, this car was the subject of a Total BMW mag feature, anyone any ideas of which issue?

Is the 320is a lot better than a 325i or is the difference negligible?

tested as quicker by one of the BMW mags vs. other M3's on the daybobgil67 wrote:According to the stats, it's only fractions of a second off the M3's 0 to 60 times. Can't vouch for this as I'm waiting on a new fuel tank and MOT.

It was Total BMW mag.
The power is right up there with early M3's but they are down about 20ft/lb of torque. What gives them the extra kick is the final drive ratio which is slightly higher that an M3, dont ask me what, I can't remember!
Top end is slightly affected but how often do you get to go there these days?!?
Welcome to the club, trust me, you'll love it
You'll easily outpace an m3 Evo II with a few small additions (Alpha-N, CF airbox
).
I know, I used to have both and in a straight race the 320 would win, just pray for no corners, the m3 will have you licked there!

Seems as if the 320i is quicker than 325i but going by these stats which seem pretty accurate the m3 is better in all areas. I would like to see the 325i vs 320is as the 325i

sounds about right, its just lacks the torque to keep pace with M3's due to loosing the .3L
They tried to compensate by upping the compression ratio and it does match on power but that doesnt give you enough when an m3 has the same power and more torque.
325's are dispatched with no problem, more power and less weight gives it the edge, corners better as well.
