LOL - shame, I am off on the 1-5th of July as well with my uni motor club. but, we would welcome any people wanting to tag along, the more the merrier!

p.s. dont forget all the random stuff you have to have driving across germany, including spare blubs/fuses, first aid kit and warning triangle. they are supposably really anal about this with cars from outside Germany.

dave my ring pass has my picture on it . we dont the the same iam afr.. glad .lol
if you came with me id get u free laps

e30 and the ring go together very well!
i broke engine mount replaced it with s/hand and it broke again and then a new one then the other side broke too.
aparently these go if you drive really hard and the alternator cut the rad hose if it does go. i got away with it but the fan shround got buggered instead .
i put ferodo ds 3000 pads up front and wow i loved the feel and power of brakes, but i think 2500 would do.
good tires are a must , u want the back stuck down , i saw way to many e30 off and broken.
i would take a spare pair of brake pads . in case you need them ( i did i had brand new pads before i whent too)
oil and cambelt change if its not been done for a while its the last thing u want to go wrong .
all the safty stuff you need to go into germany get it stuck down in the car u dont want it flying around.
take tools and spare things u think might go. eg i took a rad hose or two and one split , i had just replaced loads of things in a service before going so wasnt many bit to worry about just oil and water in the boot.
my fuel pump got really nosiey , thats ok now but it musta worked so hard for a few days . averaged about 11 mpg ish . on the track.
the rings good on tires and not too bad for brakes. even tire wear!
erm not much i found bad with the 325 . my head gasket was duff and the engine ran fine round the ring! oh i had new front wheel bearings as somone said these go to if there old!

Jahreskarte is only valid for the driver issued to, and I think only if he's driving too, so that would exclude using it when you're a passenger. Not too sure on this, but i'd check the rules cause if they catch you breaking them they might kick you off/take your jahreskarte

I've heard DS3000 have great bite, but eat discs. And of course they are useless when cold (and therefore on the road)
Cheers,
Robin
