Depends on the scrappy! £5 a time at my favourite one, but I normally buy passenger seats and convert them.
Much better chance of being in good condition.

What I do is use a passenger seat. They're all unworn and once you've swapped over the seat belt stalk it bolts straight in. The seat mechanisms are now by the tunnel but that actually seems to work better!

Does the seat belt stalk swap over that simply?

Identical fixings each side. Five minute job, including tea break!

Ahh, i thought the entire mechanism needed swapping

I'll do that, and focus on getting some nice seats later.

Cheers

If you take the adjuster mechanism off your old seat then it'll be on the right side!

It's a bit more work, but mightn't be a bad plan!

(This is assuming that it's not the adjusters that are broken)

You can always strip down your old seat and see how hard it is before deciding!

Or find a LHD car and it will just bolt in.

Picked up a decent drivers seat from my local scrappy for £20, there's 3 or 4 E30s in various states of disrepair there at present. :D
