Hello, i have a 1988 318i and would like to swop the engine for a 325i from an e30. How hard a job is this, as the engines are coming from the same car is it a straight swop?.
Obviously i will need to find an engine,gearbox,ecu and the wiring?. Is there anything else that needs to be changed like the exhaust,brakes,suspension?, thanks

You could fit the vented front discs if you havent got them fitted and the rear discs.
The 325 has bigger front struts to.

Ideally you need the front and rear subframes from the 325. Take them off complete with suspension, brakes, engine and gearbox all in place. Basically lift the bodyshell off the wheels.
