Just been onto a site which was recomended in this section, E30 diy ,dont know how to link it , maybe one of you will for me !

It was under the the heading "Injector cleaning" , Strange eh !
All is explained clearly , but i went a step further and where they just rinse with carb cleaner i hooked the injector up to a 12v supply, this meant the injector was fully open .
I then filled the injector with carb cleaner and blew an airline through it .
The spray pattern was transformed from a thickish mist to what i can only describe as a very fine mist !
This has resulted in an amazing difference in idling , and the response time has improved greatly , i used to get a bit of a pause before the revs came in , now its instant .
MPG may well improve also , if you have the means do it .

I had the injectors on my 323i cleaned in a proper injector cleaning machine thing. Aparrantly before I did it they were fairly dirty (I think they were the standard injectors after 155k miles). I didn't notice any difference after I got them cleaned :( .

ive only ever had them done on an ultrasonic machine whilst still in place.

it isnt as good as removal and proper cleaning but certainly helps.

ive generally noticed a difference.

was thinking of getting mine cleaned...saw this site advertised....anyone used them, know if they are any good, reasonable price etc?
http://www.injectorcleaning.co.uk/index.htm

i looked at taking them off and wondered if it was possible to get them out without removing the inlet manifold 'cos this looks light a right b*gg*er of a job. anyone know if i can get them out the easy way?

used to have a tvr griff and ultrasonic cleaning and setting up the injectors on a v8 was some of the best basic bhp impovements i spent my cash on....

Its easy to get the injectors off , just disconect both fuel pipes off the injector rail, take all the electrical plugs off the injectors , remove 4 bolts that hold the rail to manifold , take off bracket between rocker cover and manifold , then lift out rail , it does come out between rocker and manifold but it is very tight , if you want the least hassle possible take the rocker cover off first , its probably a good oppertunity to inspect your cam while your at it .
I got told that i should have had the injectors checked before i put them back in as i could have damaged them , it was too late as they had been put back in already , but as yet i have had no probs , so take it on at your own risk !
REMEMBER INJECTORS AINT CHEAP
Even if you just soak injectors overnight , safer method but probably as effective .
