Was out las night accelerated hard and it went bang, car still drives runs etc but like a bag of nails.
Have managed to isolate the problem to Cyl 1.
When you remove the HT lead it idles better and there is less of the "blowing" noise..
Thoughts anyone ?
Bent Valve ?

have you taken the rocker cover to see if you might have broken a rocker arm or something like that? its easy to take it off.

I would go with checking the rocker and then a compression test.
