The urge to buy an E30 M3
Moderator: martauto
Its been eating away at me again.
Its got to have a roof and be Macau blue.
Carn't find any. And for that matter not many minters around for sale in any colour.
Owners seem to be hanging on to them. 'Classic status' surely is there now.

This is true, minters are scarce!Carn't find any. And for that matter not many minters around for sale in any colour.

I wanted a low mileage original car and traveled up and down the country, but none matched what i was after condition wise..........i found that the M3's that i regarded as truly mint, tended to be sold without even being advertised!
I gave up lookin after 8 years

There has been a couple up for sale, non special versions in Macau blue recently.Francisco wrote:If you want macao blue you you'd be looking at a special version then like Cecotto, Ravaglia, E.Meister or Evo 2.

2 UK owners, mmmmm so when it was in germany before the import of the car it must have had more owners, cos when i imported an alpina from ireland it had 2 owners which means me being the 3rd, but when i had to change the plates to uk i had to hand in the log book for transfer it had me down on UK log book as the second owner which minus 1 owner... apparently that happened to a friend of mine they delete owners within a certain mount of years on log book for some strange reason from what was told by the DVLA.... dont ask why i cant tell ya..

White grows on you, and I really like an M3 in white. It gives that real "race car on the road" feel.
Well, for me anyway

Its got to be white, Macau is nice when the paints new, but once theyve had paint they look horrible, if its been done wrongR9 wrote:Macau Blue is the definitely the best colour for an M3 and EVO 2's are supposed to be the best for the money.
So Macau M3 is the one to get for sure - good choice.
shame about the colour.
never been used it the wet, doesnt know what he's missing. meant to be driven not put in a glass box.
colours fine, shame about the pricewhiteM3 wrote:

seems absurdly expensive for a 'normal' m3. a totally mint original special edition i can understand.
but then i'm quite happy with my zinno red m3 turd which i'm not affraid to use every day whatever the weather, knowing that to own a nice car but hardly ever drive it is a crying shame.
cheers,
