Ive broke my E30.

Just done it there the now...

was driving hard down a back road..... floored it and it went bang.

Still drives but sounds rough..

thinking cam/rockers/valves...

suppose just going to have to strip the head.

sounds like its blowing the exhaust, but still managed to get up to 60.

sluggish, like its lacking a cylinder....... 8O

Could be a bent or broken valve, that can make some odd noises.

It might just be a spark plug blown out, I saw this happen on an E30 years ago that had been serviced that day by a BMW stealership

shall wait for day light to investigate.

i floored it and it went bang... i shat it and though i had fucked the auto box.

was relieved that it still drove home.

check the rockers
could be that the spray bar is blocked up and a follower or 2 hasnt been getting oil. common fault that i was unaweare of untill recently.

Found it to be a broken rocker arm.
