Just picked my '87 cabby up from the MOT station. It passed with flying colours, mot man said it was in amazing condition, Chassis shows no evidence of ever be welded didn't even get an advisory note.

Roll on the long hot summer :cool: or atleast few months of it before i may move to a new project

Congrats. Mines due this week, and ive been checking the obvious things like lights,handbrake etc. might fail on trailing arm bushes as they look a bit shot.

lets hope not.

My cab passed 2 weeks ago with no advisories, after a knackered ball joint was replaced!

Should hope not! This inspector obviously hasn't seen many E30s.

Not trying to boast but in 12 years I have never had an e30 fail an mot buit then I am atypical I am willing to pay good money to buy a good car and have never wanted to own a banger BM.

Centre to rear exhaust system mounting missing (7.1.1b)
Joint at rear fuel pipe leaking (7.2.1a)
Both rear bushes suspension arm rubber bush bonding deteriorated resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.3)
Offside Front suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint (2.4.G.3) **DANGEROUS**
At centre box exhaust system has a major leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2a)
Front cross member vehicle structure has excessive corrosion which adversely affects braking or steering (6.1.1)
Front wheels brakes imbalanced (3.7.A.2e)

Nasty. On the other hand it should drive a lot better once you've got it fixed!
