Look under BMW, 1988 to 1996 3 series touring.

£94 new with a non slip mat for 10p special offer.

Didn't realise these were still available.

Cheers,

Check the most expensive postage, at 7.30 or somethign.. and your stil lin pocket by about 2 quids.!

I think they need to check that out!!!

But I might have to get one just in case!

i've got one for my touring for £32 on ebay for all my work tools. It's saving the carpet and no more out with the hoover every 5 mins. Saves the carpet from getting totally fubared imo

Ahhh so 2nd hand they go for 30 odd... ok then Mine didnt go too cheaply then. I sold it for £25.

I would have kept it, as simon says, the carpet underneath it was immaculate. But a lot of the things I haul around (engines for instance) are too big to fit in so I need the seats down. The box just got in the way.

And yes, since I got rid of it, I have well and truly f*cked my boot carpet. :(

The biggest problem with these is if your out with it in the boot and then decide to buy something that requires the seats folding down for it to fit! Where do you put the liner then :D

my thoughts exactly.

Great if you have a dog and never buy/transport anything big. Not so good if you want to use the estate for what it was meant for... hauling wardrobes and dead bodies.

it's great for bricklaying tools, i have no probs throwing my boots, lid, tools, level, disc cutter in the back!

I just empty the liner out once in a while of all the dust mud and give it a wipe and off i go again.

I dont doubt they are a very good idea. Just not suitable for all applications.

If they made one with a bit that folded down with the seats... I'd snap it up and use it religiously.

Transporting 3 engines (so far) in my boot has trashed my interior :(

Just rock the rubber floor liner that BMW make and still sell - that's what I'm gonna do anyway...

sorry should have been more clear... engine with gearbox attached, and the engine hoist to get it out again at the other end.

I would love an original one, just to have it. I rarely carry anything in the back that requires carpet protection but saying that I have a few camping trips lined up and could be handy. I usually keep an old groundsheet in the pockets to protect the carpet though.

I'd like one for mine, but it wouldn't fit in due to my amp install.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......
