Is there an easy way to treat this?

I had this and made it look much much better by using an abbrasive polish on the area to take the peeling laquer all the way back to good laquer, I was very carefull and it took me ages, and I am very well aware the paint is not protected here now so I treat it very carefully and don't over wash it and make sure it is very well waxed.

Its only a short term solution till I paint it, in my home bodged spray booth (half tent half shed!) or win the lottery and can afford to get it done for me!
