I don't think it's a prank email, they actually have this numberplate.

It was talked about a few weeks ago on here and everybody said they wouldn't pay such a stupid price for a plate.

I swear it was for sale for Ԛ£3,995 when we were talking about it though! 8O

I'll dig up the old thread :D

Thats a amazing plate, Ԛ£4k is alot to pay, but have seen craper plates sold for 3 times that.

The best plate I ever heard of is on a TVR it reads UR02SLO (you are oh too slow) :D

Might just have a set of these made up anyone know what the penalty is for running a car with the wrong plate on...

I don't think it's from the Zone as I haven't got this email and mine's public.

Or maybe they think I'm too poor as I've only got a 316i :lol:

I've seen this plate for sale too. Pretty sure it wern't the price you guys are quoting, sure it was cheaper. I'm sure it was in one of the BMW mags, can't remember which one though, still, a little cheeky for them to post to people on the zone.... :-x :-x

As an after thought, i've also seen the plate.......E30 BMW for sale, this was for sale on a DVLA auction, I think it went for about Ԛ£2000, but i'm not sure......Either way i'd love one or the other.... 8) 8)

The guy selling that number plate rung me up! my g/f took the call. They sent me the same email too...

umm, thanks but no thanks. Can't knock him for trying! i reckon it's worth Ԛ£2k to some one .....

That plate was sold by the DVLA for either Ԛ£499 or Ԛ£999. I cant quiet remember, but i had the option to buy it from the DVLA and decided against it as it could only be used on a E30 really. I opted for E4 BMW, E3 BEN & E9 BEN as i felt they had a lot more appeal. I'm struggling to think of anyone who will pay that kind of money for that plate. Especially as it's more expensive than most E30's :lol:
