Try a tech1 before you go smaller, but then I hate steering wheels to be too small.

The one i have now is supposed to be identical to a Tech1...

i like the Tech2...but they always go upto stupid amounts on ebay, or they have tears in the leather!

Tech1 feels a lot smaller than the SE wheel - those wheels seems to have tardis like properties.

all aftermarket wheels will need a boss to mount to any car.

Boss is about 40 quid, that wheel can be found for 110 online.

150 well spent I say, and if you're feeling flush, get a quick release boss for that added security of taking the wheel with you when you leave the car.

TBH i'm really after a Tech2....or something that looks stock....and is smaller than the bus wheels they seemed to come with standard on the 316's!

I don't like the idea of taking the face of my tape...so taking the wheel off is a no, no for me....although could help with security!!!

TBH for £150...should be able to get a decent Tech2...but i'm open to alternatives!

Here's mine. It's a Raid Type 1, 360mm - ie about an inch smaller diameter than usual on an E30.

This is why I no longer drive an E30......

Just look on Ebay buddy and find your self a decent after market Steering wheel.... Then get your self a 'Boss'.

I got a boss for 30 quid from "Rallynuts.co.uk"

I hate the tech 1 wheel, it feels like a boat steering wheel! Saying that, i dont want a nasty one thats clearly aftermarket. Whats the difference between the tech 1 and 2 size wise?

I sold a Zender steering wheel with an e30 boss attached on ebay a couple of weeks ago - 320mm. i find steering wheels that size a bit annoying though, you can't see the top of the rev counter/speedo properly. I quite like the Schnitzer steering wheel to use, it's smaller than the tech 1 but big enough that it doesn't look aftermarket.
