Points system

Anyone know how this points system will work, and what benefits this will have on 'points winners'...?

How does one go about racking up points? And what does one do with them...?

Is this gonna be another 'let's see how many points we can get' race much like Scotts attempt at 5000 posts in one night...?

i cant see the point in points and what it is call about, its hard enough trying to read and keep up with what is going on, ive only just read the home page for the first time,hate to think what else i aint seen yet
i would just like to say that the icons are brilliant and i cant wait to start using all of them, Who ever sorted them out WELL DONE,

Basically, the points system allows you to rack up points for performing various tasks within the site and forum. Different tasks are worth different numbers of points but you won't know how many points you get awarded for a task completed, that's our secret!!!

For example.... If I were to write a journal entry then I would be awarded say 2 points.

There are loads and loads of different tasks you can do on site an this just encourages people to use the site more. There will be loads more we can add to the site in due course and I thought the journals were a good idea so people could document their projects and others could read about them if that member choses to make their journal public.

We get to see stats on all your points and you never know... prizes might be awarded for different things.

was on 250 something this evening, i've only added to my journal and a normal evening of posting.......................now 908!
