£150, so thats £50 more than a zone chip for a RR remap? Bargain! I'd be up for this too.

i have heard custom remaps dont do much for stock 325's in on the road terms and ergo aren't really worth the cash the guy who told me this remaps cars for a living and did so whilst turning down £400 cash so I was inclined to believe him.

Also be very careful of what you are getting. The term 'Live Remap' quite often does not involve any RR time. You may get a power run at the end, but that's a long way from a custom setup on a RR.

Someone changing a few settings using a laptop is not a proper remap in my book. To do it properly, you need to visit virtually every point in the map (on the RR), and optimise the fuel and ignition at each point. You need to know exactly what the mixture is doing by measuring it with an O2 sensor. Anything else is just guess work.

+ 1

a true 'live remap' would take a full day.

It might also be a good idea to ask the company who is going to carry out this remap if they will actually do it for £150 again.

Plugging in an Emulator to the ECU, running the car on the rolling road as Ian haynes has correctly said (which would take atleast 2 hours + per car) + before and after read is not going to happen for £150 inc VAT.

You might get a decent chip + rolling road reads for that much which is still well worth it.

I have read and posted on that thread.

All I am saying is that Jay will not charge £150 this time round. It will be considerably more for a proper live remap.

Saying that, there is little point is getting a customised remap anyway unless major hardware changes have been made such as cams, displacement or extreme exhaust systems like the BTB2 Manifold.

also its fair to hear both sides of the story so that he can make up his own mind where to get it done.

Jay has fucked over a couple of people i know and 'chipped' another friends car by installing a black box, i wonder what was in there? oh a resistor...

1 - I don't think you can arrange it

2 - Why would Jason turn away business just because I tell him to?

3 - I've already told you not to engage in conversation with me, I have no business with racists.

i'm not going to get into a slagging match woth you sal

1: think what you want

2: i cant even be bothered to get into details about specifics

3: i made a post, i didn't engage in conversation with you as for calling me a racist, again i cant be bothered to waste time on this pathetic subject

racism is a non sence imo, its an argument people use to make them selves look victimised and gain sympathy when some one directs an insult at them

any one interested in a re-map, read the above link in a prevous post and if you wish give chipped uk a call, i'm not going to organise anythiing, i'm too busy with my own personal things and life to get involved with RR and re-map days

end of and i'm gone from this thred !
